Mid-Century Silver Metal Relief Plaque – Roman Coliseum Gladiator Battle Arena Scene Relief Art

Measures 17 3/4” x 14” In excellent vintage condition. Add a bold touch of mid-century brutalist design to your space with this vintage 1960s/1970s embossed metal relief wall plaque. This highly detailed artwork depicts a classic Roman amphitheater scene, capturing a dynamic battle between two gladiators—a net-wielding Retiarius and a heavily shielded Secutor. Unlike the more common copper versions of this specific retro mold, this rare variation features a striking silver-toned aluminum sheet finish. Crafted using a stamped repoussé and chasing technique, the artwork creates a beautiful three-dimensional texture that catches the light from all angles. It is securely mounted inside its original chunky black wood frame, accentuating its industrial, retro aesthetic. Perfect statement piece for an office, den, or gallery wall.
