Tickled Pink Bread Plate

This is a vintage Vernonware "Tickled Pink" bread plate. This collectible piece of California pottery features an iconic Mid-Century Modern (MCM) atomic design with pink rectangles, dark gray or black dashes, and crosses on a speckled, cream-colored background. Originally produced by Vernon Kilns in Vernon, California. When the company closed in 1958, Metlox Potteries purchased the molds and continued manufacturing the pattern under its Vernonware division until 1965.
