Antique Dressmaker’s Cloth Tape Measure on Spool, Woven Linen Sewing Notion, Circa 1900

This antique (1890-1910) dressmaker’s flexible tape measure features a beautifully contoured, reddish-brown pressed winding spool crisp with a black Gothic-script "Dressmaker's" stamp. The original woven cloth/linen tape measure pulls out to show bold, old-style numbered increments and retains its original protective metal end tip. This genuine sewing notion exhibits a gorgeous, time-worn patina with heavy edge fraying along the linen ribbon.
