Produced in Japan during the 1960s/1970s for the renowned F.B. Rogers Silver Company, this heavy metal novelty dish features a brilliantly detailed, deeply textured silver-plated exterior that perfectly mimics a real peanut shell. The hingeless lid lifts off seamlessly to reveal its best-kept secret: a stunning, highly reflective 24K gold-washed (vermeil) interior finish. Great vintage condition. The exterior shows a beautiful, rich aged silver patina with honest, light tarnishing in the deeply recessed details that accentuates the realistic shell design. The gold-washed interior remains overall bright but exhibits fine surface scratching, minor plating wear, and characteristic dark pitting/spotting from historic use (clearly documented in the photos The hingeless lid separates cleanly and seats firmly. No deep scratches or dents.
