Sugar measures 4" x 4" with lid, creamer measures 3". Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or post-production damage. The creamer rim features a few smooth, organic glaze skips from the original mid-century manufacturing process, exposing the beautiful raw terracotta clay body underneath. This is a common and highly desired hallmark of authentic hand-dipped Italian art pottery! Please review photos closely to appreciate its rustic, handmade charm. The stamp on the bottom, "H.H." is for Holt Howard. While Holt-Howard is legendary in the vintage community for their quirky, cartoonish 1950s ceramics made in Japan (like the famous Pixieware, Starry Eyed cats, and Christmas items), they expanded aggressively in the 1960s.To appeal to the changing, sophisticated mid-century modern aesthetic, they partnered with workshops in Italy to import more earthy, organic, and avant-garde art pottery.
