Southern Folk Art Face Jug

Southern Folk Art Face Jug A distinctive vintage Southern folk art face jug handcrafted by a regional studio potter, likely from South Carolina or North Carolina. Featuring expressive sculpted facial details, applied ears and handle, glass inset eyes, and an earthy olive-gray glaze, this character jug reflects the rich tradition of Southern face jug pottery while offering a unique personality all its own. The interior of the ears is incised with the initials “P” and “L,” believed to be the potter’s mark. Unsigned on the base. A wonderful addition to any collection of Southern folk art or handcrafted pottery. Approximately 7 inches tall to the top of the handle × 4-inch diameter base.
