Vintage Lightweight Wood Strawberry Bowl

This cheerful hand-painted wooden bowl is carved in the shape of an oversized strawberry, complete with bright red coloring, white seed dots, and a green leafy stem at the top. The lightweight wood has a slightly concave bowl shape that works perfectly as a catch-all, candy dish, or decorative accent in a cottage kitchen or farmhouse dining space. It shows some light surface wear and scratching consistent with age and use, which adds to its rustic folk art charm. Fruit-shaped carved wood bowls like this one were widely produced as export folk art from the 1970s through the 1990s and continue to have strong appeal with collectors of whimsical kitchen décor. Measurements are approximately 15“ x 9“ x 2 1/2“
