Nashco Floral Hand-Painted Tole Tray, New York

This vintage Nashco Products tole tray features a hand-painted still life of a golden pear, blue grapes, pink apple, roses, and apple blossoms on a classic black ground. The brushwork is bold and confident with great color saturation, and the piece is artist signed on the front. The back retains its original Nashco Products label reading “Hand-Painted, Chip and Alcohol Resistant” from E.T. Nash Co., New York. Nashco was one of the premier American tole tray makers of the mid-20th century, and their trays remain a staple of collected vintage décor. Use it as a serving tray, vanity tray, or wall display. Shows scattered paint chips and light surface scratching around the edges consistent with age and use. Approximate measurements from ruler (reads are approximate): length ~17”
