Brass Wall-Mount Fireplace Match Holder

A vintage solid brass wall-mounted fireplace match holder with a deep cylindrical body and a hinged hooded lid that lifts to drop in long matches, fatwood sticks, or kindling. Designed to hang flush beside the hearth, it keeps everything upright and within arm's reach of the fire. The polished brass finish catches firelight beautifully and warms up dark paneling, brick, or moody painted walls. Vintage brass fireplace decor with real function still left in it — hang it by the hearth as intended, or repurpose it as a wall-mounted holder for dried botanicals, wooden spoons, or long taper candles. Approximately 8" tall per the ruler shown; minor surface marks consistent with age.
