White Ceramic Galleon Ship Figurine

A vintage ceramic galleon figurine glazed in soft cream white, modeled as a tall ship under full sail with rigging, cannon ports, and a curling bowsprit, all rising from a square base. The monochrome glaze lets the sculptural detail carry the whole piece — the sails, the ropework, the sweep of the hull. Marked Made in Japan on the underside, from the mid-century era of Japanese pottery that filled bookshelves and mantels across the country. A handsome nautical accent for a shelf, a desk, a bookcase, or a cabinet of curiosities. Approximately 5" tall per the ruler shown; light crazing to the glaze consistent with age.
