Small Brass Embossed Tavern Scene Wall Plaque

A vintage English brass wall plaque with a deeply embossed repoussé tavern scene — figures gathered around a table by the hearth, tankards raised, rendered in that wonderful old English pub relief style. The rope-twist border frames the whole composition, and the brass has aged into a warm honeyed patina. Marked Made in England on the reverse with the original hanging loop still attached. These embossed brass plaques were a staple of English country and pub decor, and they've come roaring back with the dark academia and moody maximalist crowd. Hangs beautifully in a gallery wall, over a bar cart, or beside a hearth. Approximately 6" diameter per the ruler shown; natural patina and light surface marks consistent with age.
