Handmade Crocheted Chicken Potholder, Brown

A hand-crocheted chicken potholder worked in soft brown cotton with a red crocheted comb and wattle and a little yellow beak. The stitching is dense and even, with a beautifully shaped tail and body — a family member made this by hand and made it well. Hang it on a kitchen hook, use it as a trivet under a hot dish, or tuck it into a farmhouse kitchen vignette. Handmade crochet kitchen decor in the country cottage tradition, and a sweet nod to the granny-square revival happening right now. Approximately 6" across per the ruler shown; handmade, so slight variation is part of the charm.
