Bound American Cookery Magazine 1933–1935 Burgundy Cloth Kitchen Ephemera - DANA
$62.00
A wonderful piece of Depression-era kitchen history — this hardbound volume compiles eighteen consecutive issues of American Cookery, formerly The Boston Cooking-School Magazine, running December 1933 through May 1935. Bound in burgundy cloth with the original cord-and-grommet tie closure, it holds recipes, vintage advertisements, and charming Art Nouveau-style cover illustrations, including a lovely butterfly-motif "Butterfly Cake" cover for April 1934. Wonderful for display in a vintage kitchen, cottagecore reading nook, or apothecary-style vignette — the kind of piece that tells the story of home cooking through the Depression era. Some expected age wear to the binding and cord ties; please see photos for full condition. Please see photos and live show for more information.
