Westmoreland Satin Glass Peg Votive Cup Hand-Painted Swallowtail Butterfly

A lovely satin glass peg votive cup from Westmoreland Glass Company, hand-painted with a swallowtail butterfly perched on a spray of orange blossoms. Westmoreland produced this butterfly pattern across several glassware styles in the late 1970s and early 1980s — fairy lamps, bud vases, dinner bells, and this smaller peg-style votive meant to fit into wall sconce fixtures. A charming, collectible piece for a butterfly display, vintage lighting collection, or grouped candle vignette.
