Fenton Peach Crest Ruffled Cased Glass Vase - DANA

A Peach Crest cased glass vase attributed to Fenton, with a deep rose pink interior cased in milk white and finished with a hand applied clear crystal crest along the double crimped rim. Fenton introduced Peach Crest in 1940 and carried the line into the 1960s, and the color shift from soft blush at the foot to warm rose at the ruffle is exactly what collectors look for. The ringed body gives the piece weight and presence, and the wide ruffled top opens like a flower. Unmarked, which is correct for Fenton before 1970 when the company began molding its logo into the glass. Excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks noted. Beautiful on a vanity with a single peony, on a mantel, or grouped with milk glass for a grandmillennial or romantic cottage vignette.
