Vintage Silverplate Figural Santa Claus Dinner Bell - DANA

A vintage silverplate dinner bell cast in the shape of Santa's head, with a deeply modeled beard, mustache, and brows, and a laurel wreath crowning his cap. The handle rises straight up from the crown in classic dinner bell form, so it rings true when picked up and shaken. No maker's mark is visible, which is common on this style of holiday novelty bell. The silverplate shows expected age with tarnish throughout and small spots of wear, giving it a soft antique patina rather than a bright showroom shine. A wonderful piece for a vintage Christmas tablescape, a holiday sideboard, or displayed year round in a whimsigoth or dark academia collection of curiosities.
