Napco China Hand Painted Rose Footed Teacup and Reticulated Saucer

A footed teacup and reticulated saucer in Napco China, hand painted with full blown pink and rose transfers over an iridescent lusterware ground. The cup stands on three gilded scroll feet with a fanciful angular gold handle and a heavy gold band at the rim. The saucer is pierced through in a lattice of small square cutouts and finished with a jagged gilt edge, the kind of openwork that catches light from underneath when it sits on a shelf. Marked on the underside with the Napco China Original Hand Painted stamp and pattern number 1DD189, with the original silver foil A Napco Ceramic Japan sticker still in place. Light gold wear consistent with age. Lovely for a china cabinet, a tea party vignette, or a shelf of mismatched rose cups.
