Scratchboard Technique: The artist utilizes an X-ACTO blade to scratch through a black India ink surface layer, exposing the underlying white clay core to construct the fine feathers of the three owls. He subsequently built subtle depth using careful washes of colored ink before preserving the work under varnish. Excellent vintage condition. The original scratchboard artwork is beautifully preserved under glass with no discoloration or fading. The square wood frame shows minor, authentic age-appropriate surface wear/nicks that enhance its vintage character.
