Antique German porcelain covered vegetable dish, Florida pattern 4241, bird of paradise decor with gold Greek key handles.

A beautiful antique German porcelain covered vegetable dish from PT Bavaria Tirschenreuth in the Florida pattern, number 4241. The body and lid center a bird of paradise perched among cherry blossoms and flowering branches, painted in blue, green, coral and soft pink. A wide periwinkle band of white scrolling foliage runs the rim, punctuated with framed bird cartouches and edged in gold beading. The squared Greek key side handles and the ring finial on the lid are finished in heavy matte gold. Green crown and shield backstamp with the pattern name and number in red on the base. A true statement serving piece for a holiday table, or lovely displayed on its own. Good antique condition with wear to the gold on the handles and finial, a small loss to the gold on the lid ring, and light staining to the unglazed foot rim. Please review all photos closely.
