Charming vintage blue and white porcelain bowl from Alfred Meakin’s “Fair Winds” series, featuring the U.S.S. Portsmouth off the Barrier Forts, Canton. The design includes a detailed sailing ship at sea, the American eagle with E Pluribus Unum, and historic scenes around the border, all in classic cobalt blue transferware.
Made by Alfred Meakin in Staffordshire, England, this small bowl is perfect for display, trinkets, candy, nuts, or as part of a blue and white transferware collection.
