Silver Turquoise Concho Belt

This is a beautiful sterling silver and turquoise Concho belt demonstrating superb stamp work and demonstrating a repousse design. The turquoise is a beautiful sky blue color with black matrix. The cabs are set within a saw tooth bezel design. There are 11 Conchos not including the buckle. It is fashioned onto a black leather belt. The buckle is signed CMY for Charlie Mike Yazzie. The length is approximately 39 ½”. The Conchos measure about 2 3/8” in length and 1 3/4” wide. It’s a little hard to measure as the Conchos are somewhat concave on the back sides. The end of the leather belt where it comes to a V looks like it was trimmed to fit whomever owned the belt.; the V is not totally even. It leans a little towards one side. It doesn’t make a difference the way the belt looks but I wanted to point that out. The total weight is 294 Grams. The craftsmanship of this buckle is superb. It does have tarnish but I will leave that up to the buyer to clean or decide to leave as is. Some people like the natural patina and tarnish. The leather belt is in very good vintage condition and still holds a rich black color. The leather is supple and soft. CM Yazzie started his career in the 1950’s. He worked for Atkinson Trading in Gallup, NM. Online only; not in store. No International shipping.
