This is an antique miniature cast iron sad iron. Measuring exactly 3.5 inches long by 2.25 inches wide, this petite piece is a wonderful example of historical utility. Around the early 1900s, irons of this scale were utilized as traveling salesman samples, children's toys, or as specialized laundry tools designed specifically for pressing intricate lace collars, sleeves, and fine pleats. Features a heavy cast iron body with a beautifully aged, smooth turned-wood handle. It possesses a gorgeous dark natural patina that makes it an excellent choice for a rustic paperweight, bookshelf accent, primitive farmhouse vignette, or an addition to an antique iron collection .Condition: Very good antique condition.
